For Schools

Schools are busy places, and inviting an external professional into your setting is a big decision. We understand how important it is to know that the people you work with are trustworthy, professional and understand the realities of school life.

As well as being a fully qualified Speech and Language Therapist and Autism Specialist Coach and Mentor, I am also a qualified teacher and taught children with Additional Support Needs for 10 years before becoming an SLT, so I understand the demands placed on school staff and the importance of practical strategies that genuinely work within a busy school day.

I am registered with:

  • HCPC – Health and Care Professions Council

  • RCSLT – Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists

  • ICO – Information Commissioner's Office

  • PVG Scheme – Disclosure Scotland

And a member of:

  • RCSLT – Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists

  • ASLTIP – Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice

I also hold appropriate professional insurance, and am fully safeguarding-trained.

Schools are very welcome to contact me for further information about my insurance, registrations, policies and professional credentials before booking, to ensure that I am a good fit for their needs.

I believe that good school support should feel collaborative, practical and achievable. I don’t come into schools and tell staff a thousand extra things to add to their workload - I’ve been on the receiving end of that and I know it’s not productive for either of us! I work alongside your team, get to know your pupils and their challenges, and help build confidence around communication and neurodiversity.
